PRINT FAQs

PRINT DETAILS Each print is printed with archival inks on canvas in our Sonoma Studio. The reproduction image is scanned or photographed for optimal resolution and intentionally captures the texture of the original surface. The effect is a more original-looking print.

Size: The sizes listed are the size of the image. There is an additional white edge added for easy framing.

It can be cut if needed. Please use straight edge and new sharp exacto knife blade.

Color: Please note that color varies from computer screen to computer screen. Color is represented as accurately as possible. Please check colors on multiple screens if you are concerned about color variations.

Handling: Unframed prints Please be very careful when handling an unframed print. Use cloth gloves as ink can easily be scratched or effected by the oils from your skin. Do not bend. When transporting to framer please roll and use original tube and tissue paper to protect ink surface.

Handling Framed Prints:

Framed prints are varnished with a satin uv varnish making it a bit more resilient to the elements than unframed prints. Wipe with clean soft dry cloth if needed. Frames are raw wood and can easily wiped down with a dry cloth. They can also be sanded with a very light grit sand paper. Be sure to not touch print surface.

Shipping: All reproductions are printed to order at the studio. Please allow 1-2 weeks for us to carefully print and package your piece when it is ordered.

All Unframed Prints are packaged carefully and rolled in tissue, brown paper and shipped in a rigid mailing tube marked ALEXCOLESTUDIO.

All Framed Prints and Original pieces are wrapped in paper and sent in a well-fitting sturdy cardboard box marked ALEXCOLESTUDIO
